The economy is tough right now and teams are scrambling to line up sponsorship for next year. Roush Fenway Racing announced that DeWalt would be leaving Matt Kenseth's #17, but Crown Royal will shift from the #26 to the #17. However, with even more changes looming in the future, these are a few sponsorship deals I think we're unlikely to see.
Elliott Sadler & PETA. Sadler is an avid hunter, and I doubt he will give up his winter pastime so easily. Equally unlikely is Ryan Newman - PETA, as he is an avid fisherman.
Kyle Busch & Self Tanning Lotion. Kyle is nearly so fair that he is translucent. As a hard-core sunscreen wearer myself, I sympathize. But Kyle's complexion will not lend itself well to self-tanning.
Jimmie Johnson/Tony Stewart & Gillette. Jimmie recently shaved his stubble, igniting news coverage. Whether he remains clean-shaven the rest of the year remains to be seen. Stewart has demonstrated his shaving laziness during his whole career. Can you imagine how long the the PR flack assigned to tell Smoke to shave everyday would live?
Jeff Gordon & Budweiser. Somehow Gordon's suave aura doesn't bring to mind the partying ways of Budweiser. Red Wine? Sure. But Bud?!?
Kasey Kahne & A Dance School. Commercial to the contrary, I doubt Kasey will be endorsed for his dancing skills.
Greg Biffle & Whiffle Ball. Although the slogan is catchy, I don't see "Biffle Whiffle" catching on.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Ford. Junior's father would come back and spank him. Although Senior may prefer it to Toyota/Honda/Hyundai...
Roush Fenway Racing & Toyota. A sure sign of the end of the world.

Did you catch Tony's press conference yesterday??
He started off by announcing that Gillette has signed on to sponsor the Pay-Per-View for the Prelude in September. Kasey and Ryan were there as well(representing the "Young Guns") and trading jabs about Tony's razor "allergy."
How about this: Denny Hamlin and the UPS Store? Or Kevin Harvick and either Chevron or Castrol GTX?

SpeedBeagle - I didn't. I doubt sponsoring the race will get Tony shaved any faster! I think part of the Gillette deal for the "young guns" is that you are always clean shaven. At least that was part of the reason a few guys wouldn't do it (Junior & Tony).
Jon - Those would be good! The problem is that when drivers change teams, sometimes those wacky changes happen. We'll see what Harvick has happen if he decides to bolt RCR.
Belle - I didn't see that special. It sounds interesting, as it appears things are changing rapidly with sponsors ditching teams they have had for years. I'm sure there will be some new sponsors, but I think the surge won't happen until the economy is much better.
I'd have to go with Ambrose or Montoya with US Army, lol

PETA may be anti-hunting, but they have no problem with killing any and all stray dogs and cats. That's their solution to domesticated animal overcrowding.

Iowa- Jr may well be in a Honda if stays at HMS. Rick Hendrick is the largest Honda dealer in the US. If they comes to Nascar, they will look for him to be the BIGDOG.

When Jr finally gets married the girls last name will be Ford and Jack Roush will be an usher at the wedding. Roush knows that the reception will be at the Hendrick shops and he will pull a Mission Impossible by stealing HMS's chassis blue prints while drugging Chad Knaus to get a couple more secrets.
Roush in a Toyo, we know that he would rather face a firing squad or worse, listen to DW talk for two hours .....
